Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice unified title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would prevent the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
